You will feel very relaxed and experience relief from long-term aches and pains as a result of stress, tension or repetitive physical activities. After an initial slow-down period, you may also experience increased energy, heightened awareness, and better productivity.
On average, a full-body massage treatment session lasts for approximately one hour. A half-hour session only allows time for a partial massage treatment that targets a specific area of your body, such as your neck and shoulders, back or legs.
No, it is not. There are several medical conditions for which massage is inappropriate. That is why you may have to fill in a medical history form before you begin your treatment session. Your massage therapist will ask you general health questions to rule any contraindications to massage that you may have.
Our massage oils should not cause a skin reaction. Our massage therapists only use hypoallergenic massage oils or lotions. However, if you are sensitive or allergic to certain types of oils or lotions, please inform your massage therapist. We have a variety of alternative oils and lotions on hand.
Make yourself at home, get comfortable and relax. If your therapist needs you to adjust your body position or a part of your body, they will either gently move it for you, or ask you to move what is needed. Adjust your position anytime to make yourself feel more comfortable.
You may or may not need to partially undress during your massage. It depends on the primary technique your therapist uses. For example, an oil massage needs to be applied to exposed skin. You are required to wear underwear. Your massage therapist will give you privacy.
Your massage takes place in a warm, comfortable, quiet and private room. Soft ambient music will be played to help you relax. You may be required to lie on a table to receive a back massage, and sit on a chair for head and neck massage treatment. However, you may also request to have your complete massage performed on a massage bed.
Your massage therapist may request that you fill out a medical history form if it is required. Afterwards your therapist will begin by asking you general questions about what areas you would like to have massaged, your current health symptoms and conditions – in order to determine if massage therapy is a suitable type of treatment for you.
